Can Entrepreneurship be learnt?

Studies made on Entrepreneurship show that people can be taught how to develop the desired profile for an Entrepreneur, which means having an assertive and a self-motivated attitude towards their goals and objectives. One of main characteristics of an Entrepreneur is internal locus of control. Entrepreneurs believe they are not simply pawns of the environment where they are inserted, but rather, that the outcome of events and situations are susceptible to intervention. In other words, that they have the skills and capacity to intervene effectively in certain situations or to influence certain events.
When students decide to take a foreign language course, they are certainly aiming at developing or improving their communication skills. They need to meet their needs to develop their abilities in negotiating, presentations, business trips, sales, classes or any REAL situation they are in or are going to get involved with in their personal or professional life. An accurate analysis of the situation, together with a programme designed for their REAL needs, can help them to get prepared, feel motivated and self-confident. Education should take into account the individual and his or her learning process as a facilitator during the student's self-development path where the start up is a vision or dream, and the outcome is achieving it.
